Riverview Mill artists offer classes

Four artists at the Riverview Mill will offer classes in pottery, jewelry making, silk painting and cartoon drawing at a series of four-day art camps beginning on June 22. The cost is $130 per week.

The last class is scheduled for Aug. 17-20.

Potter/artist Pam Nowell of Mudworks will teach several types of pottery making. Students will participate in group activities as well as individual projects.

Emily Morgan dyes silk painting inspired by nature. She will teach two sessions on the four basic techniques between July 27 and Aug. 13.

Dennis Anfuso is a writer-illustrator and has received awards for cartoons in the Hollis Times and has taught cartooning and drawing at Milford High School. Students will learn how to make their individual drawings. His class is set for July 27-30.

Sussy-Rose Shields works with various metals. Copper will be the main focus of the camps, with a special project in silver. She will throw in some beads and rocks to create special ornaments.
