River lowered for dam work
LOWELL, Mass.
Boott Hydropower Inc. said it lowered the level of the Merrimack River about five feet Tuesday in order to work on the Pawtucket Dam.
The work is expected to continue for three to five days, after which the river level will be raised, according to the company.
