Rise Private Wealth Management
Financial firm’s new home allows expanded service, relationships

There are times when New England winters can wreak havoc with construction schedules.
Luckily for Rise Private Wealth Management, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services Inc., Mother Nature decided to go easy on the region this past winter, creating a ready-made benefactor of the newly-constructed home of the Ameriprise firm.
Now, the Bedford-based private wealth advisory practice is cashing-in on the mild winter as it moves into the new facility at 262 South River Road in Bedford.
A two-story building, the new facility is bright, colorful and exudes character. The central entryway boasts a stone-finished exterior, while the left side of the building stands out with a bold, red finish topped by an airy cupola, bringing plenty of natural light inside. On the right, a deep green façade with plenty of windows and a protected side entryway creates an inviting feel.
The reception area is an open, breezy space with a large desk, a comfortable seating area and windows that look out onto the untouched natural beauty that runs alongside South River Road.
Rise Private Wealth Management partnered with Sullivan Construction to develop and build this beautiful, energy efficient building. Construction on the project started on Sept. 9, 2015, and tenants began moving in Aug. 1 of this year. In less than a year, then, the site was transformed from an undeveloped lot into a striking structure that stands along the busy roadway today.
Again, thank the relatively mild winter.
“It went perfectly,” Rise Private Wealth Management Marketing Manager Brittany Abbott said. “We didn’t get much snow this winter, so the construction went ahead of schedule.”
The new project came at an important time for the firm.
“We’re growing our practice,” Abbott said. “We outgrew the space we were in, and the new building gives us the space our clients need for additional services. It allows us to start mutually-beneficial relationships with other services to help our clients even further.”
Rise Private Wealth Management’s space was designed specifically to give us a different look and feel and includes offices, a break room and a conference room that can be divided into separate meeting areas. The entire team will be housed there, from advisors to support staff. The parking lot, which stretches out in front of the building and wraps around the sides and back of the building, has 110 parking spots.
“It has a homey feel,” Abbott said. “Our old building had a farmhouse design, and our clients expressed interest in keeping that feel. We wanted it to keep in line with that building, but more up-to-date.”
Toward that end, the building has an energy-efficient HVAC system and low-e coated windows. It also has an emergency generator and an electric car charging station.
Altogether, the new, $5.5 million building is 23,000 square feet. The financial firm will occupy the second floor, Abbott said. The company has moved 25 employees to the site. Approximately 12,000 square feet remain open for rent on the first floor, “a great fit for office, retail or medical company,” Abbott said.
