Red Sox owner stumps for Kerry

John Kerry’s campaign hopes some of the Boston Red Sox come-from-behind magic will rub off on their candidate.

Red Sox co-owner Tom Werner will be outside Holman Stadium at noon today to thank southern New Hampshire Red Sox fans for their support and ask them to support Kerry for president.

Werner has contributed to the Massachusetts Democrat’s campaign, while George Steinbrenner, owner of the New York Yankees, has contributed to President Bush’s re-election campaign.
