To the editor:
Great article by Bob Sanders on the worker’s comp situation in New Hampshire (“Trouble on the workers' comp horizon?” Feb. 8-21 NHBR).
The only other thing I would have added was to pay attention to the multitude of bills that mandate one restriction or another on employers trying to reach a rapid settlement, like the program was initially set up!
Remember the simple workers comp idea — employer pays for work-related injury regardless of who is at fault, and employee does not sue, and gets immediate monetary relief. Many of these bills provides upward pressure on rates, delay payment, and eventually this will get out of hand!
