Greenland Village Shops full, an award for AHEAD, Sunapee’s new library … and more
The last retail space at Greenland Village Shops, 655 Portsmouth Ave., Greenland, has been leased to Aesthetica, a skin care, nails and massage business. David Choate and Andy Ward of Colliers International|New Hampshire’s Portsmouth office represented the landlord and assisted the tenant in this transaction.
Affordable Housing, Education and Development (AHEAD) of Littleton was recently recognized by the New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority for its extensive efforts to rehabilitate and preserve housing for seniors and the disabled in the North Country. The organization was presented with the Bringing You Home Award, which honors those who achieve excellence in affordable housing. AHEAD renovated and restored three historic properties simultaneously — Lisbon Inn in Lisbon, the Opera Block in Woodsville, and McKee Inn in Lancaster. The extensive renovations included improvements to the buildings’ energy efficiency, which improved residents’ overall quality of life.
Trumbull-Nelson Construction Company of Hanover has begun work on the town of Sunapee’s Abbott Library building. The one-story, 8,000-square-foot building will replace the 84-year-old, 3,500-square-foot facility currently in use. Peter Tennant, of Tennant/Wallace Architects leads the design team. Trumbull-Nelson V.P. Todd Thompson is project manager and Bruce Summarsell is project superintendent. The library is scheduled for completion in August 2014.
Also announced was the recent lease of 8,670 square feet of office space at 36 Industrial Way in Rochester to Community Cash Management Corp., dba Marcam Associates. Bob Anderson of Colliers International|New Hampshire’s Portsmouth office represented the landlord, 36 A Industrial Way LLC, and assisted the tenant.
Some 7,000 square feet of office space has been leased at 340 Granite St., Manchester, by Lutheran Social Services. Jeanne Butler of NAI Norwood Group represented LSS in the search for the relocation site. Mike Reed of Stebbins Commercial Properties represented the landlord.
Jewett Construction Company, Raymond, has completed construction of a new Department of Public Works garage and associated offices for the town of Hopkinton. Jewett Metal Buildings & Steel Erectors, a division of JCCI, erected the 13,750-square-foot pre-engineered metal building.
Candus Simpson and Hank Cavaretta have joined the staff of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate/The Masiello Group’s Portsmouth office. They will be working as a team handling the needs of both buyers and sellers in the Seacoast area.
