ConEst named to Constructech 50, Novocure leased more space … and more

Constuctech Magazine has named Manchester-based ConEst Software Systems, a provider of takeoff, estimating and project management software, to its 2014 Constructech 50, a list of the most influential construction technology providers. Winners are chosen based on numerous criteria, including having a strong product or service aimed at the construction industry, ongoing customer satisfaction and growth, as well as outreach and educational efforts for the construction industry. It is the sixth year that ConEst has received the honor.

 

Novocure Inc. has leased an additional 12,617 square feet of flex space at 195 Commerce Way in Portsmouth. The company, a private oncology company pioneering a new treatment modality for solid tumors known as NovoTTF, now leases the entire 35,000-square-foot buildindg. David Choate of Colliers International’s Portsmouth office represented the lessee and Tom Farrelly of Cushman & Wakefield represented the lessor, Tain Properties LLC.

 

Construction of the Interventional Spine Medicine Offices in Plaistow has been completed by North Branch Construction, Concord. The project, which involved the renovation and restoration of an existing 3,300-square-foot home built in 1920, was designed by Dennis Mires, The Architects, Manchester.

 

Utah-based national rental property management franchisor Real Property Management has been named one of America’s Best Franchises, according to Forbes magazine’s first list of the top franchises in America. Among the franchisees is Jay Comstock, owner of Real Property Management of Dover. The firm specializes in managing single-family homes, townhomes, condos, multiplexes and apartments.

 

A tenant fit-up for Boomer Wolf LLC at the 49,000-square-foot Pinkerton Place retail/business complex in Derry, was recently completed by Jewett Construction Inc., Raymond/ The project, designed by Port One Architects of Portsmouth, consisted of a fitting out of a 2,000-square-foot retail space.

 

Wilton-based ROK Builders LLC, the hotel construction affiliate of Roedel Companies LLC, has completed renovation of the Residence Inn Marriott Hartford Downtown in Hartford, Conn.

 

Nearly $6 million has been awarded through the Community Development Finance Authority Tax Credit Program to 14 New Hampshire organizations. Among the projects receiving awards were a senior housing development in Keene’s Railroad Yard, efforts to rehabilitate blighted buildings in downtown Manchester, and community development projects along Littleton’s Main Street.

 

Cobb Hill Construction Inc., Concord, recently awarded $500 scholarships to three recipients as part of the firm’s annual scholarship program. The recipients: Kyle Carmichael, a graduating senior at Merrimack Valley High School, who will be studying mechanical engineering at the University of New Hampshire; Austyn Shea, a graduating senior at Concord High School, who will be studying construction management at the University of Maine at Orono; and Derek Gallagher, a graduating senior at Bow High School, who will be attending the UNH Thompson School of Applied Sciences this fall to also study construction management.
