Peterborough project wins ENR recognition, Cityside wins government property management deal … and more

Centrix Bank has been granted a $500,000 subsidy by the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston that will be used to fund the first phase of NeighborWorks Southern New Hampshire’s new affordable housing project, The Townhomes at Whittemore Place, in Londonderry.

Scheduled to break ground this summer, The Townhomes at Whittemore Place will mark the largest affordable housing initiative undertaken by NeighborWorks Southern New Hampshire. When completed, the two-phase, $18.5 million development will consist of 78 units situated over 20 acres.

The funding garnered by Centrix will support the first phase of construction, consisting of 38 units, a community center, rental offices, and a community garden.

 

The Village at RiverMead in Peterborough has been selected as one of the Best Projects of 2013 by Engineering News Record. Judged on a combination of criteria — including teamwork, safety, innovation, construction quality and design — the project was chosen for an award of merit in the residential/hospitality category. Architect for the project was JSA Inc., Portsmouth. Contractor was Cutler Associates of Worcester, Mass.

 

Cityside Management Corp., Manchester has been awarded a contract by a government sponsored enterprise to provide property management services for residential real estate assets in all 13 New England states.

 

Bean Group has added Stephen DePietro Jr. to its Portsmouth real estate team as a sales associate.

 

First Colebrook Bank has hired Jewett Construction Company Inc., Raymond, for a renovation and addition to its branch at 2400 Lafayette Rd., Portsmouth. Designed by Portsmouth-based Port One Architects, the 1,200-square-foot addition includes new offices, lighting, finishes and a new HVAC system. Site work will include new paving, curbs, and lighting.

Peabody and Smith Realty of Plymouth announced that its sales associate of five years, Carmen Burns, was recently awarded with the Graduate Realtor Institute designation and the Certified Buyer designation.

 

Pizzagalli Properties LLC has acquired 1 Cellu Drive in Nashua from Liberty Group. The property consists of 227,000 square feet on 16 acres of land and is 100 percent leased.
