N.H. Housing’s homeownership fellows, new Title!Snap app … and more

The New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority recently welcomed its inaugural class of homeownership fellows. Through the agency’s Homeownership Fellowship Program, the eight participants will over the next 10 months discuss and learn about the mortgage lending system and the creation of affordable housing in New Hampshire.

This year’s class includes Julie Cosgrove, loan originator at Merrimack County Savings Bank; Lisa Cressey, retail lending underwriter/team leader at Northway Bank; Carrie DiGeorge, assistant vice president/senior retail lender at Federal Savings Bank; Michelle Hayward, mortgage loan officer at Savings Bank of Walpole; Dennis Kochanek Jr., branch manager at Residential Mortgage Services; Jennifer McCall, licensed loan originator/branch manager at Merrimack Mortgage Co.; Sarah Powell, loan officer at Connecticut River Bank; and Tammy Verani, senior loan officer at Residential Mortgage Services.

Market Street Settlement Group LLC, Manchester, has launched the latest version of its mobile app, Title!Snap, which provides real estate professionals and loan officers in Maine and New Hampshire with three calculators in one application for their local title and settlement calculation needs.

Title!Snap offers access to a seller net sheet calculator and a title rates and fees calculator for both purchase and refinance transactions, allowing real estate professionals and loan officers help clients instantly determine closing fees, title insurance premiums, recording fees and government transfer fees.

Title!Snap was developed by Title Resource Group, parent company of Market Street Settlement Group.

The Title!Snap app now serves 30 major metropolitan areas across the United States, including Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Manchester, Miami, Minneapolis, New Orleans, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Portland, Maine, Tampa, San Diego, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.

Keene-based Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate/The Masiello Group’s Portsmouth office has been selected to represent Sea Glass Lane at Rand, a new retirement community development in Rye.

Located on land that belonged to the Rand Lumber Company for more than 107 years, the 20-home retirement community is being developed by Wallis Road Properties LLC, a company that offers expertise in building efficient, sustainable, Energy Star and geothermal homes.

North Branch Construction Inc. of Concord will soon begin Phase II of the Bow Highlands housing project located off Bow Bog Road in Bow for CATCH Neighborhood Housing. The New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority-funded project will include the construction of two wood-framed two-story buildings, each containing eight townhouse-style units of workforce housing.

Warrenstreet Architects Inc. of Concord is providing design for the project, which is scheduled for completion in early 2015.

ROK Builders LLC, Wilton, recently completed renovation projects at the Marriott Courtyard in Lebanon and the Harborside Hotel in Portsmouth.

The Company managed a completed makeover of the Marriott Courtyard’s lobby, guest rooms, corridors and public spaces. At the Harborside Hotel, ROK installed a new front desk, remodeled the entire second floor and also remodeled the Prescott meeting room and lower corridor.

Bedford-based BerardMartel Architecture recently designed factory and warehouse additions for Corflex Inc. in Manchester. Ricci Construction of Portsmouth was the contractor.

Jewett Construction Company, Raymond, has been contracted to renovate space for the new Granite State Indoor Range and Gun Shop at 2 Hampshire Drive in Hudson. The four month, 12,960-square-foot project, designed by Portsmouth-based Port One Architects, includes interior renovations to an existing building to provide a members area, office space, and two ranges constructed of load-bearing masonry block and cast-in-place concrete deck cap. One range will contain five shooting stalls and the other will contain 10.

Chamberlain Companies Inc. of Salem was recently recognized by the Architectural Woodworking Institute with an Award of Excellence for quality and innovative woodworking exhibited at the South Shore Medical Center in Norwell, Mass. The award distinguishes the finest custom architectural woodwork projects of each season and recognizes such companies for their efforts.

Architecture and engineering firm Fletcher-Thompson Inc. of Bridgeport, Conn., and Solus4 LLC, a Kittery, Maine-based architectural firm, have signed a mutual collaboration agreement to provide architecture and engineering services internationally, with a particular focus on the Middle East and Africa.
