Horizons Engineering acquires Ossipee company … and more
Patriot Award Christopher Galbraith North Branch Construction

Christopher Galbraith, center, North Branch Construction’s chief financial officer, was recently presented with a Patriot Award for his ongoing support of a company employee, Sandra McNeff, whose spouse was deployed with his National Guard unit to the Middle East in 2021. She described Galbraith’s support as essential in helping her navigate day-to-day life as a working parent for almost a year while her husband was deployed. The Patriot Award is presented by Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.

Littleton-based Horizons Engineering Inc., an engineering, land surveying and environmental consulting firm, has announced the acquisition of White Mountain Survey & Engineering Inc., Ossipee. White Mountain Survey offices and staff will remain under the leadership of James Rines, who was the firm’s first employee in 1977. The acquisition gives Horizons eight offices in northern New England: New London, Conway, Newmarket, Littleton and Ossipee in New Hampshire; Sharon and Newport in Vermont; and Saco, Maine.

Merrimack County Savings Bank recently purchased $5,000 in tax credits through the New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority in support of Nashua-based Family Promise of Southern NH’s Building Home, Building Hope capital campaign which involves expansion and renovation of its Nashua-based property at 3 Crown St. The property is a transitional residence facility for local families experiencing homelessness.

Kevin Shaw of Roche Realty Group’s Laconia office has been named the firm’s Top Producer of 2021. The firm said Shaw produced a closed sales volume of over $29.4 million involving 71 transaction sides for the year. His average selling price was $409,948.
North Branch Construction recently began renovations at the 25-unit Harvey Heights apartment complex in Meredith. Renovations include new kitchens, flooring, appliances, tubs, new bath fixtures, doors, electrical upgrades, attic insulation, a new sprinkler system and patching and painting. Stewart Associates Architects of Laconia is the architectural design firm on the project.
