2021 11 29 Nobis Group Achieves 100 Employee Ownership

Nannu Nobis, left, founder of the Nobis Group, and Kenneth Koornneef, President and CEO of the firm, shown shortly after announcing that the engineering and environmental services company has achieved its goal of becoming 100% employee-owned. ‘The company is now in the hands of a talented and dedicated group of employee-owners and leaders,’ said Nobis, who founded the Concord-based firm in 1988. “I could not be more proud of or confident in the future of Nobis Group.” Nobis has stepped down as board chair, but will serve in an advisory role to assist with the ownership transition.

Roswell, Ga.-based Randall-Paulson Architects is opening a new office in Nashua, NH, its first in New England. The firm, which provides architectural, interior design, and visualization services to clients in a range of industries, including industrial, health care and retail. Tim Engelbert, who has worked for Randall-Paulson for 11 years, will head the new office, which is located at 82 Technology Way, Suite 3W2A, in Millyard Technology Park, Nashua.

A webinar to be presented Dec. 7 by the New Hampshire Housing Finance Authoritywill look at how the economy will affect the state and national housing markets in 2022. In his presentation, “Economy 2022: Growing & Slowing,” national economist Elliot Eisenberg, will discuss housing trends and affordability and the impact of interest rates, demographics, stimulus checks, changes in the labor market and the supply chain have on housing markets.

In addition, Ben Frost, managing director of policy and public affairs at New Hampshire Housing, will provide an overview of the state’s housing market.    The webinar, which begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, is free of charge, but registration is required. Register at NHHousing.org/events.

Bedford-based Absolute Title is assisting local pantries in acquiring food and supplies for Thanksgiving meals with donations of $1,000 cash and $1,000 worth of groceries to the New Hampshire Food Bank, Friends of Forgotten Children and Operation Blessing Food Pantry. Absolute Title was able to provide more than 600 pounds of food to each food bank, which, along with the cash donation, will provide approximately 7,500 meals between the three organizations.

B2W Software, Portsmouth, a provider of software for heavy construction, has announced the agenda for Make Work Flow, the company’s 2022 User Conference, which will be held Feb. 6-8, 2022, at La Quinta Resort & Club near Palm Springs, California. The B2W User Conference provides training across the company’s ONE Platform of applications for estimating, scheduling and dispatching, field tracking and equipment maintenance. Robyn Benincasa, a world champion endurance athlete and member of America’s first all-female firefighter crew, will be the keynote speaker, discussing team building and peak performance strategies contractors can apply to construction challenges.
