Charter school signs Merrimack lease, new tenants at Colony Mill … and more

Gate City Charter School, an elementary public charter school, has signed a new lease at 7 Henry Clay Drive in Merrimack. The school will occupy 17,850 square feet and is scheduled to open in September for the 2014 school year with 140 students. The school will have an arts-integrated curriculum for grades K-8.

CBRE/New England’s Mike Tamposi, vice president at the firm’s Manchester office, represented the landlord, Adamian Construction & Development, in the transaction. Tom Farrelly and Sue Ann Johnson of Cushman & Wakefield of New Hampshire represented the tenant.

 

Unbridled Chocolates, MJD Hair Design and Barton Associates have taken space in the Colony Mill Market Place at Keene.

Unbridled Chocolates, which has operated in Marlborough for the last seven years, is moving its café and chocolate shop to the dining space and kitchen located in the center of the mill. MJD Hair Design is returning to its original location on the first floor at the Colony Mill after relocating to West Street.

A national medical staffing and recruiting agency, Barton Associates, currently based in Massachusetts, will be expanding to the Center at Keene, occupying some 13,300 square feet. The firm said it expects to bring more than 80 jobs to the city.

The leasing team of Charles Panasis and Ben Kelley of Brady Sullivan Properties handled the transactions.

 

Staffing Sense of Stratham has leased 1,941 square feet of office space 11 Court Street in Exeter. David Choate and Andrew Ward of Colliers International’s Portsmouth office represented 11 Court Street LLC, and Choate and Maxine Kenny represented the lessee in the transaction. Staffing Sense will be relocating from Stratham.

 

S.E.D. LLC has purchased 10,350 square feet of industrial space at 31 Auburn St. in Manchester. The property will be used as a martial art studio once renovations are completed, according to Tom Dickson, who represented the landlord, Ronald A. Myslivy of Goffstown. According to the Registry of Deeds, the sale price was $725,000.

 

Granite Commercial Real Estate of Bedford has earned national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Center for Women & Enterprise, a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.

GCRE President Megan Prieto said the certification “is a great way to promote our company to major corporations who are seeking to conduct business with a woman-owned business.”

 

Wayne J. Blais of Bow has been hired as a project superintendent by Jewett Construction Co., Raymond.
