Not guilty pleain cruelty case

EPPING – (AP) – A 33-year-old man charged with animal cruelty after his pit bull was found dead in his car on a hot June day has pleaded innocent.

Jeffrey Brown of Epping faces up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine if found guilty.

According to court records, the dog was found dead after two children called police about seeing it panting heavily.

A trial is scheduled for later this month.
