Northway opens Bedford office

Berlin-based Northway Bank has opened a commercial banking office in Bedford, marking the bank’s further expansion into southern New Hampshire. The new Bedford office, which opened Sept. 1, specializes in commercial loans for area businesses.”It’s no secret that we want to expand our business lending while also expanding into parts of the state that have yet to experience our brand of community banking,” said Victor C. Levesque, Northway’s director of commercial banking. “The new commercial banking office in Bedford helps achieve both of those goals.”The bank expanded into southern New Hampshire for the first time last year, opening a full-service banking center in Concord. The new Bedford office underscores Northway’s commitment to southern New Hampshire, said Richard Olson, the bank’s director of consumer and small business banking.”We’re committed to deliberately, but prudently, growing throughout the state, expanding into markets where our approach to community banking can meet a need for local businesses and families,” said Olson.Key personnel in the Bedford office include: Donna Ehrler, senior vice president/market manager; Dave Peterson, vice president/commercial relationship manager; Deborah Blair, loan assistant; Kristy Comarcho, vice president; and Eric Boucher, mortgage loan officer.
