NHCIBOR honors top deals of 2015
Arthur Slattery also recognized for lifetime achievements
Longtime New Hampshire real estate broker Arthur Slattery and the $12 million redevelopment of the former Macy’s property in Bedford were among those honored at the NH Commercial Investment Board of Realtors’ second annual NH Commercial Real Estate Awards.
Slattery, considered one of the industry’s top dealmakers for over 30 years, was honored for a career of service and achievements.
Still active as a commercial Realtor with an office in Amherst, he has served as NHCIBOR president for several terms, in addition to serving several terms as president of the NH Association of Realtors.
He was the first commercial Realtor to be named to the NH Real Estate Commission, eventually serving as chair for over a decade.
Meanwhile the redevelopment of the former Macy’s site at 125 S. River Rd. in Bedford was honored as Deal of the Year.
The project, which was brokered by Bob Rohrer of Colliers International, involves turning the site into a lifestyle center. it was also honored as NHCIBOR’s Retail Deal of the Year.
Other winners were:
• Office Sale of the Year: The sale of a Concord office portfolio for $11.5 million and a Nashua office portfolio for $17.5 million. Brokers were Thomas Farrelly, Denis Dancoes and Sue Ann Johnson of Cushman Wakefield, along with Matt Pullen of Cushman Wakefield and Charles Panasis of Brady Sullivan Properties.
• Residential Investment Deal of the Year: Two transactions, 150 River Rd., Manchester, for $11.125 million and 2 Woodbury St., Manchester, for $12,150,000. Brokers were Tom Duffy, Berkshire Hathaway Verani and Mike Charron, Berkshire Hathaway Verani.
• Industrial Sale of the Year (Tie): 655 South Willow St., Manchester, (the former Osram Sylvania building), brokered by seller rep Karl Norwood, NAI Norwood Group & John Hoben, NAI Norwood Group and Brady Sullivan Properties. Also winning was 13 Industrial Park Drive, Hooksett, (the sale/leaseback of the General Electric facility). Mike Tamposi of CBRE-Manchester represented the seller. •
Urban Revitalization Deal of the Year: 875 Elm St., Manchester, (Citizens Bank building). $8.125 million. Brokers were Dan Scanlon, Jim DeStefano, Laura Nesmith and Doug Martin of Colliers International.
Suburban/Rural Deal of the Year: Former Chester College campus, $1.53 million. Brokers were Karl Norwood, NAI Norwood Group and John Hoben, NAI Norwood Group.
• Office Lease of the Year: Timberland/VF Outdoor Inc. lease at Cocheco Mill in Dover. Thomas Farrelly, Denis Dancoes and Sue Ann Johnson of Cushman Wakefield represented the tenant. Also taking part in the deal were Eric Chinburg, Chinburg Properties, and Phil Lombardo of Cushman Wakefield.
• Industrial Lease of the Year: SolarCity Lease of 468 Pepsi Rd., Manchester. Thomas Farrelly, Denis Dancoes and Sue Ann Johnson of Cushman Wakefield represented the tenant. Mike Tamposi, Roger Dieker and Chris Healey represented the landlord. Also involved in the transaction was John Grady of Cushman Wakefield.
