NHBR forum to explore health reform law

Dr. Aaron Carroll, a regular contributor to CNN and a sought-after speaker on the implications of health care reform in the United States, will be the keynote speaker at NHBR’s fourth annual Health Care Forum.Presented in partnership with MVP Health Care, the forum will kick off at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2 at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord.The forum also will feature a panel of experts who will discuss the various issues surrounding the Affordable Care Act and how it affects business owners, executives, human resources professionals, health care providers and insurance brokers.Carroll, an associate professor of pediatrics and director of the Center for Health Policy and Professionalism Research at the Indiana University School of Medicine, has published some of the seminal work on various types of health care reform. He also is one of the leading pediatric informaticists in the United States, receiving millions of dollars in grants to explore the use of information technology in health care.His work has been featured in The New York Times, USA Today, The Los Angeles Times, Newsweek, among many other national publications, and he has appeared on “Good Morning America,” the “CBS Evening News,” “ABC News Now,” and “The Colbert Report.”Tickets are $37 per person through Sept. 19, after which they will cost $42.
