NHBR awards to honor business excellence
Businesspeople who are seldom recognized — owners and operators of the state’s small businesses — will be honored in October at New Hampshire Business Review’s fourth annual Business Excellence Awards.
The awards ceremony will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 11 at CR Sparks in Bedford. The entrance fee is $10. Proceeds from the event will benefit CASA of NH, an organization that provides volunteers to serve as advocates for abused and neglected children in the New Hampshire court system.
Business Excellence Awards will be given in 14 categories: Real Estate, Construction, Technology, Financial Services, Retail, Transportation, Hospitality, Health Care, Professional Services, Business Services, Non-Profit, Manufacturing, Media and Marketing and Public Service.
Jeff Feingold, the newspaper’s editor, says, “Over the past three years, the awards have been presented to small-business owners from communities around New Hampshire, from Berlin to Walpole to Manchester to Nashua, making this a truly statewide event. We hope people will turn out to celebrate this year’s winners.”

• Deborah Osgood, co-founder and vice president, the Knowledge Institute
• Kathleen Reardon, vice president, public affairs and community relations, Citizens Bank
