Former shoe plant in Berlin eyed as hotel site  The North Country got some good economic news Thursday when local businessman Bob Chapman announced that he had three tenants signed up for his former paper mill property in Groveton, and that he was looking for someone interested in building a hotel here on the site of the former Converse and Bass shoe plants. – NH UNION LEADER

Gov. Maggie Hassan visits Lakes Region to launch 93rd annual Bike Week  New Hampshire Gov. NH attorney general: Maker of OxyContin distributes ‘misleading information’ to doctors  Less than a month after getting legislative approval to investigate the marketing habits of drug companies, the state attorney general’s office has narrowed its probe to just one, Purdue Pharma, accusing the enterprise of distributing “misleading information” to doctors about its breakout painkiller OxyContin. – CONCORD MONITOR
