Music groups hold free concert
The Nashua Symphony Association and the Opera Circle for will join forces to present a free concert today at 3:45 p.m. at the Nashua Historical Society as the concluding event of the society’s two-year Abbot-Spalding House Bicentennial birthday celebration.
The program will consist of selections from several well-known operatic arias and an eclectic mixture of popular brass repertoire, featuring the NSA’s principal trumpet player Richard Watson and his brass quintet.
Operatic selections include Mozart’s “Bester Jungling” sung by soprano Hannah Schramm Murray; “Una voce poco fa” from Rossini’s Barber of Seville” sung by mezzo-soprano Joelle Coleman; and a Coleman-Murray duet “Prendero quel brunettino” from “Cosi fan tutte” by Mozart. Piano accompanist is Scott White.
