Manchester rents decline slightly in July

Modest drop ends three-month streak of rent increases

After three straight months of rent increases, in July, average rents in Manchester declined slightly though still top the national average, according to an analysis by the online platform Apartment List.

With median one-bedroom apartments at $1,079 and median two-bedroom apartments at $1,371, Manchester rents are just $1 less than in June, in each category. However, year over year, Manchester rents are 1.7% higher than July 2018 and above the national average of 1.6%, though just lag behind the state’s year over year growth at 1.8%.

To further put figures into perspective, Manchester two-bedroom apartments cost $10 more than the average rent in Denver, but are $10 less than rent in Miami. The national average is $1,191.
