Ian Andrew Dowe, 37, of 99 Cluff Crossing, Salem, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at Holy Family Medical Center in Methuen, Mass., after a brief illness.

Mr. Dowe was born Aug. 18, 1966, in Kingston, Jamaica, son of Ellis Dowe of New York City and Gwendolyn (James) Dowe of Nashua. He lived in Salem since 1990 and previously in Jamaica.

He was the husband of Karen (Jacques) Dowe, whom he married in December 1995.

Mr. Dowe was employed as a screen printer at Salem Sports Wear in Salem.

He enjoyed sports, mainly basketball and football, and his family was an important part of his life.

Mr. Dowe was a member of New England Pentecostal Ministries in Pelham.

He was educated in Jamaica and graduated from high school there.

Besides his wife and parents, survivors include a son, Andrew Dowe of Salem; a daughter, Vanessa Dowe of Salem; a brother, Michael James of Kingston, Jamaica; five sisters, Jacqueline Creary of Nashua, Bettyann McKoy of Salem, Portia Ross of Miami, Terryan White of Hartford, Conn., and Lillyrose Browne of Manchester; several aunts and uncles; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Davis Funeral Home in Nashua is in charge of arrangements.
