Heather McGrail, the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce’s vice president of membership and community partnerships, will become the organization’s interim president and CEO on Jan. 31 after current CEO Mike Skelton steps down from the job.
McGrail, a Bedford resident, has worked for the chamber for nearly five years and has nearly two decades of nonprofit and corporate experience.
“Heather’s expertise in chamber operations, her strong relationships with members and engagement with the community made her a natural choice to assume this leadership role,” said Genella McDonald, chair of the chamber’s board of directors.
Skelton who has led the chamber since 2014, announced his decision late last year to take over as president and CEO of the Concord-based Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire.
The chamber also announced that Nathan Saller, CEO of Bellwether Community Credit Union and a member of the board and former chair, will lead the search effort for its president and CEO.
