Foreclosure rates continue to fall in Manchester-Nashua

April numbers show a year-over-year drop of .37%

Foreclosure rates in the Manchester-Nashua area fell in April from the same period a year ago, according to data from property information and analytics firm CoreLogic.

According to the CoreLogic data, the rate of Manchester-Nashua area foreclosures among outstanding mortgage loans was 0.77 percent for April, a decrease of 0.37 percentage points from April 2013, when the rate was 1.14 percent. Foreclosure activity in Manchester-Nashua was lower than the national foreclosure rate, which was 1.77 percent for the month.

The mortgage delinquency rate fell in April as well in Manchester-Nashua. According to CoreLogic, 2.91 percent of mortgage loans were delinquent 90 days or more compared to 3.69 percent for the same period last year, representing a decrease of 0.78 percentage points.

Since January 2013, when the area’s foreclosure rate was 1.20 percent, the rate has been steadily falling.
