Fisher Cats ready pre-All Star game renovations at ballpark

Northeast Delta Dental Stadium to be turned into ‘a destination,’ says GM

The NH Fisher Cats have begun construction of a ballpark renovation project in advance of the 2017 Eastern League All-Star game, which will be played July 12 at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester.

The work includes addition of a pavilion and plaza, featuring a tiki bar, game area and live music stage, a rock waterfall atop the main stairway, designed by Stonemakers of Merrimack, which leads to the Samuel Adams Bar & Grill. The in-stadium restaurant will fully open its west wall to provide an open-air pathway to the new plaza.

Below the Bar & Grill, the left-field seating area will be enhanced with four rows of tiered seats and drink rails. The new section, which can now be reserved for group outings, will have 165 swivel chairs with mesh backs overlooking the playing field, team officials said.

"There's never been a more exciting time for this organization," said Fisher Cats General Manager Jim Flavin. "Our stadium now offers much more than just a ballgame featuring future major leaguers. It's a destination; a first-class entertainment venue where guests can enjoy live music, cold drinks, and the unbeatable weather of a summer night in New Hampshire."

The Fisher Cats are working with Market Square Architects, of Portsmouth and Fulcrum Associates of Amherst on the renovations.
