First N.H. Home Design Awards honor excellence

Residential designs, designers recognized in eight categories

A Tamworth home designed by BEAM Construction Associates won Home of the Year honor at the first New Hampshire Home Design Awards.

The first New Hampshire Home Design Awards were handed out on Monday to the Granite State’s best residential designs and the people who created them.

Presented by New Hampshire Home magazine at a ceremony held at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester, the awards celebrate excellence in the residential design community.  First place and honorable mentions were presented in eight categories to the following individuals and companies:

Excellence in Architectural Design

Winner: Dennis B. Mires of Dennis B. Mires, The Architects, Manchester

Honorable mention:  Bonin Architects, New London

Excellence in Bath Design

Winner:  Alice Williams of Alice Williams Interiors, Hanover

Honorable mention: Susan R. Crupi of David R. Crupi LLC, Hollis

Excellence in Green Design

Winner: Bonin Architects, New London

Honorable mention: BEAM Construction Associates, North Sandwich

Excellence in Historic Renovation

Winner: Patty Cooke of Wentworth Style, Wolfeboro

Excellence in Interior Design

Winner: Patty Kennedy of Patty Kennedy Interiors LLC, Portsmouth

Honorable mention: Alice Williams of Alice Williams Interiors, Hanover

Honorable mention: Ann Henderson of Ann Henderson Interiors in Keene

Excellence in Kitchen Design

Winner:  Mark Wirta of Crown Point Cabinetry, Claremont

Honorable mention: DeStefano Architects, Portsmouth

Excellence in Outdoor Design

Winner: Tim Jordan of Jordan Associates, Laconia

2014 Home of the Year

Winner:  BEAM Construction Associates, North Sandwich

The New Hampshire Home Design Awards were sponsored by RE Marble & Granite, Persian Rug Gallery, Belletetes, Seasonal Specialty Stores, Zen Stoneworks and Liberty Hill Construction.

The winners will be featured in the March/April 2014 issue of New Hampshire Home.
