Fire damages business
PELHAM
Firefighters contained an early-morning blaze Tuesday in a local thermal management design company.
Firefighters rushed to 33 Bridge St. around 6:50 a.m., where they saw smoke bellowing from Wakefield Engineering’s rooftop. The blaze started in the company’s duct system and was ruled accidental, the Pelham Fire Department said.
Investigators determined that the blaze was caused by a construction accident, the fire department said. No one was hurt and firefighters from Pelham, Windham, Hudson and Dracut, Mass., had the flames contained to a storage area on the company’s second floor.
