Event marks group’s 200th
LYNDEBOROUGH – The Lafayette Artillery Company continued the celebration of its 200th anniversary with a coffee house at Citizens’ Hall on Friday.
The live entertainment was headlined by Mike McGowan. He was joined by Doug Farrell, Ken Molnar and Steve Bourque.
Selectman Lorraine Strube served as Mistress of Ceremonies, and artillery Capt. Walter Holland welcomed the guests.
A selection of desserts was served with coffee throughout the evening.
The artillery will close its year of celebrations with a Christmas party, held jointly with the town celebrations the first weekend in December.
The annual Washington’s Birthday Ball will be held as usual in February, “as we start our 201st year of service to the town,” Holland said.
