Easements, trails to be discussed

WILTON – Conservation easements and public trails will be the subject of a hearing called by the Board of Selectmen and the Conservation Commission for Dec. 20, at 7 p.m., in the town office.
Members of the Hoover family are offering conservation easements on several properties, which will be held by the New England Forestry Foundation and the town.

A trail easement on the Hamlin property on Abbott Hill, to be held by the town, and changing the location of a trail on the Rensing property on Badger Farm Road will also be discussed.

The cost of the above projects would be paid for by withdrawing $7,500 from the Wilton Conservation Fund.
