Dyn seeks two New England startups to send to Launch Fest

Startups in New Hampshire and the rest of New England are encouraged to enter a contest for a chance to win a paid trip in March to the Launch Festival, a three-day conference in San Francisco on the ins and outs of starting a company.

Dyn Inc., the Manchester-based provider of DNS and other Internet services, is presenting the contest, which is open to any New England startup with annual revenue under $5 million. Two winners will be selected to attend the conference, which will be held March 4-6.Both the grand-prize winner and the runner-up will receive two tickets to the Launch Festival, along with airfare and accommodations for two people to San Francisco and a dinner in Boston with Dyn CEO Jeremy Hitchcock and the company's chief revenue officer, Kyle York, both of whom will be speaking at the conference.

In addition, the grand-prize winner will receive one year of Dyn email delivery and DNS services and a 30-minute meeting with angel investor and entrepeneur Jason Calacanis, who founded the Launch Festival in 2010 and sits on Dyn's board of directors.

To enter the contest, startups must create a three-to-five-minute video telling their story and explaining why they would like to attend the festival. Submissions must be received by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 10, via Twitter (#DynLaunch and @DynInc).

Entries will be judged by a local panel that includes Mike Veilleux, Dyn's director of email product and founder of startup GearFreedom, Jamie Coughlin, CEO of the abi Innovation Hub, and Aaron O'Hearn, CEO and co-founder of the Boston Startup School.

"Attending the Launch Festival could change the future of your business, so we hope the New England startup scene really participates," said York in a statement.

Winners will be announced on Wednesday, Feb. 13. For more information visit http://dyn.com/Launch
