Dyn, Echo Group execs named High Tech Council Entrepreneurs of the Year

The co-founders of Dyn Inc. in Manchester and the founder of Conway-based The Echo Group will be recognized May 7 as the 2012 Entrepreneurs of the Year by the New Hampshire High Technology Council.

They will receive their awards as part of NHHTC's 24th annual Entrepreneur of the Year Awards Dinner, which begins at 5:30 p.m. Monday, May 7, the Radisson Manchester.

Chairman George Epstein is being recognized for his work at The Echo Group, which he co-founded in 1981, and has been filling the information management needs of the behavioral health and human service markets since then.

In 2009, Echo released the Visual Health Record, an innovative timeline-based approach to viewing the clinical chart. Providing greater ease of use, visual alerting and complete case management, the Echo VHR assists organizations in adopting an enterprise-wide electronic health record.Meanwhile Dyn's CEO, Jeremy Hitchcock, and its chief technology officer, Tom Daly, are being recognized for their work at the firm, which they co-founded in 1998.

Dyn, an Internet Infrastructure as a Service company, makes websites run faster and more reliably. It also ensures that transactional emails that consumers want reach their in-boxes. The firm powers managed DNS and e-mail delivery for over 4 million worldwide enterprise clients, small businesses and home users.

Journalist Scott Kirsner will deliver the keynote address at the event. Kirsner, who covers the technology sector for the Boston Globe, writes the "Innovation Economy" column that appears each Sunday in the newspaper, and he has been a regular contributor to Fast Company, BusinessWeek, Variety, and Wired.
