‘Disruptivators’ set for April 11 event
Six New Hampshire entrepreneurs who practice “disruptive innovation” will headline Disruptivate! 2012, a daylong conference organized by the New Hampshire Innovation Commercialization Center.The event will be held Wednesday, April 11, at the Wentworth by the Sea Hotel in New Castle.Selected by a panel of experts, the “Top Six Disruptivators to Watch in 2012” are each applying innovative technologies to disrupt big markets across a range of industries.Each “disruptivator” will give a short presentation on his ideas and entrepreneurial challenges during the conference’s morning session. They include: • Peter Antoinette, co-founder and CEO of Nanocomp Technologies, Concord, producer of the world’s strongest and most conductive materials made from carbon nanotubes • Doug Clark, founder and CEO of NEF Manufacturing, Durham, an engineering and manufacturing startup attempting to revolutionize footwear manufacturing • Jeffrey Carlisle, founder and CEO of Our Health Connector, Stratham, a Web-based platform that allows consumers to build and control their own patient-centered medical records • Rob Graybill, senior partner at Compass Healthcare Advisors, Bedford, a software system that rewards consumers for seeking out health treatment based on transparent and accurate cost information • Jeffrey Vocell, co-founder and director of product development at Trendslide, Manchester, a mobile business intelligence solution that puts critical information in the palm of users’ hands • Ryan Zarick, co-founder and chief technology officer of Buzzdraft.com, Dover, an online platform for fantasy sports that engrosses users in a data-driven game experience and offers cash rewards for winningThe conference will also feature several keynote speakers, including University of New Hampshire President Mark Huddleston and entrepreneur Les Otten, among others.
