GREENVILLE – The Democratic Town Committee named new officers and began planning for the upcoming elections at a meeting Saturday.
New officers are Anne McInnes, chairman; Marguerite Vallaincourt, vice chairman; Emmy Rainwater, secretary; and Jim Giddings, treasurer.
A delegate to the state caucus May 22 will be named later.
The group decided to look into the possibility of holding a series of public forums with speakers on topics of interest to local residents, including state funding of education and local property taxes.
The group also voted to join forces with the ConVal Democrats, work more closely with New Ipswich, and to endorse a proposed pledge for all Democratic candidates to fund “an adequate education.”

August 4 was a perfect New Hampshire day. Along Route 3, a tour of the wonderful New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, a peaceful and impressive oasis everyone should experience, was followed by the groundbreaking ceremony for Phase II of the Military and Veterans Campus of Easterseals New Hampshire in Franklin.
