Conference on diversity planned

MANCHESTER- The New Hampshire Commission for Human Rights is presenting a one-day conference, “New Hampshire Welcoming Diversity and Its Benefits,” on Wednesday at the Center of New Hampshire in Manchester. The Commission has put together a program featuring experts in the fields of employment and discrimination law, representatives of government, and advocates from community and non-profit organizations, that work to promote diversity. Featured guest speakers include, Naomi Churchill Earp, vice-chairwoman of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and attorney Margaret Hu of the U.S. Department of Justice. Speakers and small group workshops will focus on preventing discrimination in employment and public accommodations, by identifying issues and best practices. The program cost is $50.00, which includes all materials, coffee, snacks and lunch.
