Chappell Tractor celebrating fifty years and four generations of honesty and excellence
In 1955, when Perley Chappell and his son George first began selling local farmers Ford tractors out of the family barn in Milford, NH, they unknowingly began a business whose commitment to honesty and excellence would span 50 years and four generations of the Chappell family. Today, Chappell Tractor continues to build on its success under the strong leadership of Corey and Brad Chappell, president and vice president of Chappell Tractor, with the valued assistance of their fathers, Roger and Kent Chappell.
While Chappell’s product line has expanded tenfold from Ford tractors to include everything from heavy construction equipment to lawn and garden equipment, and a complete hardware store of chains, rakes, shovels, straps, and work clothing, Chappell’s fundamental values of quality products backed by knowledgeable people and top-notch service have remained the same.
In 1998, Chappell Tractor added to their flagship location on Route 13 South in Milford a second location on Route 125 in Brentwood. And this spring, Chappell Tractor will grow again, expanding their Milford post and beam “barn” showroom to three full stories, allowing not only for the display of additional products but more room for customers to browse and converse with Chappell’s experienced, friendly staff, a tradition the Chappell’s believe provides them with the sort of candid, straightforward customer feedback that allows them to better their business.
