Art show at Borders a colorful delight

NASHUA – Paintings of delicate orchids, New York City views, colorful medieval ladies posing demurely, a stately Victorian home, delectable apples in a still life, a color-infused, sunlit window adorned with three vases.
These are some of the many poignant images that may be viewed this month in the cafe at Borders bookstore, 281 Daniel Webster Highway. The Artists Breakfast Club exhibit is on display through Dec. 30.
Seventeen area artists are showing a variety of multimedia works on a rotating basis.
The Artist Breakfast Club is a group of established professional artists who have met weekly for many years to discuss art. Included in the group are Beth Patterson, Chelmsford, Mass., an accomplished
American Watercolor Society member and contributing writer for Watercolor Magazine; Nita Leger-Casey, Pepperell, Mass., owner of Gingerbread Art Gallery in Pepperell; and Jing-hua Gao Dalia, Pepperell, Chinese watercolor brush artist and Copley Society member.
Also featured are Marilene Sawaf, oil and acrylic painter; Sue Whitten, Nashua, pastel and graphite pencil artist; Joyce McJilton Dwyer, Maynard, Mass., landscapes; Nancy Davis Johnson, Dover, seascapes; Dianne Levine, Bedford, art teacher and media master; Ray Bliss Rich, Hillsborough, sumi-e painter who appeared on the Martha Stewart TV program; and Anna Carrion, Westford, Mass., watercolorist.
