Accessibility the ambition of NH Community Technical College

“Increasing access to higher education in New Hampshire is a critical component of our mission,” says New Hampshire Community Technical College Commissioner, Dr. William Simonton. “Whether it’s a student trying to defray the cost of a four-year degree, a dislocated worker seeking to acquire new career skills, or a professional looking to expand or update their skills, we believe it is our responsibility to have programs in place that meet people’s unique needs and help them reach their education goals.”

NHCTC’s seven campuses and five academic centers currently enroll a combined 24,000 students in more than 240 certificate and diploma programs and 90 associate degree programs. The College also has transfer programs in place with the University System of New Hampshire and other private colleges that allow students to begin their education with NHCTC before transferring to a four-year college to complete their Bachelor’s degree. In combination with their low tuition and available financial aid, the College’s transfer program has helped many students go on to earn degrees when they would otherwise have not been able to afford it.

While affordability may be a large factor, convenience is equally important to busy full-time professionals looking to learn new technologies, employees of second and third shifts, and individuals who find themselves place bound due to family circumstances. Therefore, in addition to the convenient day and evening class schedules offered at the Berlin, Claremont, Concord, Keene, Laconia, Manchester, Nashua, Pease International Tradeport, and Stratham campuses, NHCTC offers a 100% Online Learning Program that allows students to take courses online with no on-campus attendance requirement.
