New Hampshire companies added 12 percent more workers in September than they did in August.According to figures from the New Hampshire Department of Employment Security, 22,649 newly hired employees were added in September – compared to 20,186 adding in August.September’s numbers were ahead of September 2009 by some 1,526, about a 7 percent increase.The number of new hires year to date is 171,071, about 77 percent more than the 96,735 new hires reported through September 2009.The NHDES tracks the data monthly from W4 forms submitted by employers, which are required by law to report new hire information. — CINDY KIBBE/NEW HAMPSHIRE BUSINESS REVIEW
