Starting up a business during the recession would be challenging enough for most entrepreneurs. Robin Dewey tackled this endeavor while also supporting her son Kolby, a young man with developmental disabilities.
For approximately 10 years, Robin and Kolby lived above Robin’s Egg, an antique, home decor shop that seamlessly blended dealers’ designs from one set to the next in a home-like backdrop.
When Kolby passed away last year, Robin channeled her grief into supporting Best Buddies New Hampshire, an organization close to her heart that helps kids with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Through supporting events held at her store and in the surrounding community, Robin raised over $7,000, placing second in the 2017 fundraising competition to benefit the organization.
