Granite Staters pleased with postal service

Postal workers don’t have to ring twice in New Hampshire.

The state was one of eight territories in the country where 97 percent of postal customers voiced their satisfaction with the Postal Service.

Other regions scoring at least 97 percent satisfaction were: the Dakotas (North and South Dakota and northeast Minnesota); Massachusetts (most portions of the state); Western New York (western portion of New York State, including Buffalo and Rochester); Albany (northern, eastern, central portions of New York State); Vermont (in a region with New Hampshire); Pittsburgh, Pa.; Appalachian (Kentucky and West Virginia); and Hawkeye (Missouri, Iowa and portions of Kansas).

New Hampshire’s postal service also achieved a 95 percent performance score for on-time overnight deliveries of first-class mail, as measured independently by IBM Consulting Services. – CINDY KIBBE
