It may not be for everybody, but if karaoke is for you, then you won’t want to miss the Gone Country karaoke contest, a music fest and barbecue to raise money for the Boys and Girls Club of Souhegan Valley.
The day will include a country music karaoke contest, performances by many New Hampshire Country Music Association members and barbecued ribs and chicken provided by the Texas Roadhouse of Nashua.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 21 at the Boys and Girls Club of Souhegan Valley Performing Arts Center on Route 13 in Milford – the former American Stage Festival.
The four competition categories are Youth (17 and under) Male and Female and Adult (18 and over) Male and Female. Participants will be allowed one song, must provide their own accompanying music, either a CD with no lead vocals or, instrument played by the participant. Entry fee is $10. Deadline for registration is Aug. 6.
