Gov. Kelly Ayotte suggests leasing surplus state land for residential development to help curb New Hampshire's housing shortage and attract more workers to the state.
Planners OK housing project
HUDSON – The Planning Board approved a housing development on Webster Street on Wednesday night, boosting the number of potential homes in the area.
The board unanimously approved River Ridge, a development of 79 single-family homes for people 55 and over.
Recently, the Planning Board also approved two other housing developments on Webster Street. The other developments are River Walk, a 93-unit elderly housing development, and Water View, 32 single-family homes. The latter is being built on the former location of the Merrimack River Golf Club.
In all, about 204 homes will be built in the area, which is west of Elm Avenue.
