A Nashua woman was injured early Friday evening when her car was struck broadside by a sport utility vehicle on Amherst Street.
Emily Holland, 23, was treated and released from Southern New Hampshire Medical Center where she was transported after her Chevrolet Cavalier collided with a dark green SUV, police and hospital officials said.
The crash happened at about 7 p.m. at the intersection of Amherst Street and Cushing Avenue.
The driver of the SUV, Thomas Albricht, 24, of Maine, was not injured in the crash, police officials said.
Police Sgt. Peter Bouchard said it appeared the Cavalier had been traveling east on Amherst Street and was in the process of making a left turn onto Cushing when the SUV, which was traveling west on Amherst, struck the car on the passenger side door.
The impact caused both airbags in the Cavalier to deploy and sent the car spinning into a Morin’s landscaping truck that was stopped at the corner of Cushing and Amherst. The driver of the landscaping truck, Hector Virgen, 25, of Nashua, was not injured in the crash.
The collision is still under investigation.

New Hampshire is home to 81,535 veterans, including 8,893 female veterans. They are our neighbors, co-workers, coaches, business owners, public servants, parents and friends. They have served our nation. Now the question is whether we are serving them with the urgency, coordination and compassion they deserve.
