MERRIMACK – A 16-year-old driver parked his car on Church Street on Sunday night, but left the transmission in neutral and the parking brake off – setting off a chain of events that ended when the car smacked into a house at 479 Daniel Webster Highway, police and fire officials said.

The unattended car, a Mazda 626, rolled 200 feet down Church Street, crossed Daniel Webster Highway without striking another vehicle, and then rammed into a house, police said. No charges were filed in the incident, and no one was injured, officials said.
