NASHUA – The final two days for this year’s Penny Pickers drive are Saturday and Sunday.
The 13th annual event benefits the Nashua Pastoral Care Center, which serves women, children and families in need in Greater Nashua.
Volunteers in bright yellow smocks will be knocking on doors to collect pennies and spare change Saturday from 9-11:30 a.m. and Sunday from 12:30-3 p.m.
Volunteers meet at the care center at 7 Concord St. and are supplied with bright yellow Penny Picker smocks, supplies, refreshments and drop-off instructions.
They are then assigned a neighborhood to cover, or they may request specific areas they wish to canvass. Teams are made up of two or more people, one of whom must have a car for transportation.
To become a Penny Picker, call 886-2866 or e-mail tlucier@npcc.mv.com.
