In the April 22 – May 5 issue of New Hampshire Business Review and on its website, the purported salaries for two directors of Nackey S. Loeb School of Communications, a nonprofit journalism school affiliated with the New Hampshire Union Leader, were printed in the “Flotsam & Jetsam” section. The article claimed that Joseph W. McQuaid and Dirk F. Ruemenapp, officers on the school’s board, both received six-figure salaries from the nonprofit based on a 2009 filing with the Internal Revenue Service. This was in error. The salaries listed in a table in the article were income derived from other sources, not from the nonprofit Nackey S. Loeb School. Mr. McQuaid and Mr. Ruemenapp do not receive any compensation for their work as officers and directors of the Loeb School.Accordingly, we retract this portion of the April 22 Flotsam & Jetsam in its entirety and deeply regret the error.
