November new-hire numbers hold steady in N.H.

The number of workers hired by New Hampshire companies in November remained essentially the same as it was in October. According to figures from the New Hampshire Department of Employment Security, New Hampshire employers hired 19,783 new workers in November – statistically even with the 19,774 workers hired in October. November’s 19,783 newly hired employees are 7 percent lower than the 21,345 recorded in November 2009. While the hiring data do not yet suggest a clear growth trend, the average monthly hires are slightly more than in 2009, when the monthly average was about 18,400. The agency does not provide analysis for hiring patterns.
