The fastest-growing state in the Northeast, New Hampshire has a population of nearly 1.2 million people. It is home to 32,000 businesses, and its per capita income is the sixth- highest in the country. It is listed annually among the top five states in various quality of life surveys, ranging from livability and safety to health and child well-being.

The Granite State boasts one of the most concentrated high-tech employment populations in the U.S. With a highly educated, highly skilled labor force and nationally famous low tax burden, it has attracted a wide range of some of the nation’s largest companies, including Hewlett-Packard, Cisco Systems, Teradyne, BAE Systems, Fidelity Investments and Liberty Mutual. Together they employ thousands of New Hampshire residents. The state also has a vigorous international trade sector (New Hampshire businesses export billions of dollars a year in manufactured goods and services), along with finance, health care and retailing, among many others. New Hampshire’s world-famous lakes, mountains, ski resorts and sales tax-free shopping attract millions of tourists a year, from around the United States and the world.
