New Hampshire’s first sports betting location opens in Seabrook

Sportsbook at The Brook, New Hampshire’s first sports wagering facility, where gamblers will be able to bet in all major professional collegiate U.S. sports, has opened in Seabrook.

The opening was announced jointly by DraftKings Inc., Eureka Casino Resorts, owner of The Brook, and the New Hampshire Lottery Commission.

The New Hampshire Lottery and DraftKings launched mobile sports betting in the state in December 2019.

DraftKings, selected as the state’s exclusive sports betting provider, has operated mobile sports betting the New Hampshire since last December in coordination with the Lottery Commission. It has committed to operating at least four retail sportsbook locations statewide.

The 90,000-square-foot facility is at the site of the former Seabrook Greyhound Park, which has undergone a year-long, multimillion-dollar remodeling and rebranding.

Outfitted with betting kiosks and video walls, the sportsbook is located in The Brook’s “Stadium” space, which features stadium seating on couches and movie theater-style chairs with three cinema-size screens and hundreds of TVs.

Eureka said enhanced safety and sanitization protocols are in place at The Brook. They include physical distancing and hand sanitizer stations throughout the space, including in seating areas and on the gaming floor, in addition to requiring guests and employees to wear a mask.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is tentatively planned to take place in September.
