NASHUA – Signups begin Saturday for Nashua Public Library’s children’s summer reading program. This year’s theme is “Check Out a Hero @ Your Library.”
Kids can meet some baseball heroes from the Nashua Pride as well as Pride moose mascot Prime Time between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. Free ticket vouchers to the June 28 game will be given to all participants in the summer reading program.
The program continues June 23 at 2 p.m. with a performance by Double Vision. Jody Scalise and Linda Peck stress the importance of living a healthy, substance-free life. Through mime, music and juggling they relate stories of Babe Ruth and other modern-day heroes and help children learn about the pitfalls of substance abuse. The program, for kids ages 5-12, will be in the library’s theater. Pick up tickets in the children’s room.
