Historical Society sets meeting
WILTON
The Historical Society will meet on Thursday at 7 p.m., at the Wilton Public-Gregg Free Library.
The speaker will be Society member Lynne Draper who will give a presentation on Samuel Chamberlain, a noted photographer, etcher and lithographer, who was known as the “Photographer Laureate of New England.”
He traveled through the region from the 1930s to the 1970s and produced a wide range of books, calendars and postcards depicting the architecture, landscape, and flavor of New England.
Draper will bring a selection of books and other items from her extensive collection of Chamberlain items.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
